In the latest batch of President Donald Trump’s presidential orders was one released late this 23 May. The document explicitly calls on the US to “unleash the domestic nuclear industrial base and position American nuclear companies as the partners of choice for future energy growth throughout the world.”

The US’s ability to Deploy Advanced Nuclear Reactor Technologies for National Security will require a transformed workforce – trained and educated in the underpinning technologies presented in the White House’s roadmap.

As Halldale’s SCT department has reported simulation and training industry companies and their partners are helping to step up the rigor and scope of training and education for the next generation of nuclear energy workforce members. The learning strategy to support the latest presidential order will require instructional methodologies that focus even more on AI, XR and other enablers in their courses – to start.

SCT looks forward to following the activities occurring to recruit, train and retain the next generation of US nuclear industry workforce members and allowing them to support an advanced, safe and effective business model.
