Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) has partnered with LearnPro Group to integrate XVR simulation technology into its training programs. The collaboration supports immersive, scenario-based training at NIFRS’s newly launched Learning & Development College in Cookstown.

The £50 million facility is NIFRS’s largest capital investment to date and includes a Tactical Firefighting Facility, a Mock Fire Station, a Flood Water Facility, and a Call-Out Village. These resources enable personnel to engage in realistic training for complex emergency scenarios.

XVR simulation technology contributes by enabling high-fidelity virtual environments that are repeatable and customizable. Trainees gain critical experience in decision-making, communication, and coordination through these controlled digital simulations.

LearnPro Group noted its ongoing work with NIFRS in implementing this simulation capability. The XVR platform is designed to elevate training standards and help emergency responders prepare more effectively for real-world incidents through advanced virtual methods.
