ST Engineering Antycip has made updates to its in-house MyIG image generator, extending its use beyond traditional simulation into virtual reality (VR) applications while continuing to support advanced simulation use cases.
New capabilities include support for additional CAD and 3D model formats. MyIG now supports FBX alongside OSG-compatible formats such as OpenFlight, OBJ and 3DS, enabling models from tools including Blender and Maya to be imported into collaborative VR environments.
The platform also integrates real-time tracking, dynamically updating perspectives without noticeable latency. In addition to existing Scalable support, MyIG can now read VIOSO calibration data, streamlining multi-projector configurations and alignment in complex display systems.
The updated system was recently demonstrated at a customer site using Barco I600 projectors, OptiTrack tracking and VIOSO calibration. The installation enabled stereoscopic visualization of 3D models on large-scale displays, supporting collaborative design review and interactive training use cases.
“With these developments, MyIG confirms its dual role,” added Riccardo Rovelli, VP of Innovation & Technology, Division Director Italy & DACH at Antycip. "By combining software, hardware and integration expertise, we can now deliver truly turnkey solutions that meet the evolving needs of research, training and design.”
