The ATR full flight simulator for the ATR 42-300 and 72-500, located in the Farnair Training Centre near Vienna and Bratislava, has been fully certified by the Federal Air Transport Agency (FATA), part of the Ministry of Transportation of the Russian Federation. The ATR 42-300 and 72-500 FFS has received Level C and D certification. Unique to the simulator is the ability to reproduce all problems related to icing and de-icing. Multi-media based training (MBT) for the ATR 42-300 and the 72-500, an online training program available for type ratings and recurrent training and checking, adds to the training experience.
