Swiss AviationTraining (SAT) has been granted ATO status (Approved Training Organisation). SAT has hitherto operated with FTO status (Flying Training Organisation) in accordance with the provisions of JAR FCL1, JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities).
The newly granted ATO certificate confirms that the company fulfils the requirements of an ATO as defined by EU No. 1178/2011 (Air Crew Regulations). The status of Approved Training Organisation designates an organisation that is qualified to issue or extend training permits for pilot licenses and any related ratings and authorisations.
SAT has enhanced its management system with a Safety Management System (SMS) and modified procedures, checklists, concepts and various professional titles in compliance with EASA requirements.
