Aeromexico has installed a new Lockheed Martin Commercial Flight Training (LMCFT) Boeing 787 flight simulator for pilot training at the Aeromexico Training facility. With the arrival of the new simulator, the airline can optimize scheduling and control of the pilot training process, in addition to streamlining the availability and productivity of their employees.
The new device has been qualified to Level D by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) and is equipped with more than 30 specific visual scenes, including Mexico City International Airport, London and Paris. It features advanced technologies including real aircraft panels and a 200-degree field of view visual system and includes a Rockwell Collins EP-8000 image generator with Eyevis projectors which offer panoramic views and detailed airport scenes. The visual system combined with an Instructor Operating Station and electro-pneumatic motion system allows simulated flight scenarios in many different weather conditions.
