RP Aero Systems has launched a digital communications system designed specifically for use in the training environment.
The new system emulates all the necessary cabin and flight deck features on each aircraft type, with an additional handset for the instructor. The system integrates with flight crew headsets and oxygen masks, and are capable of fulfilling the communication needs on Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft. It is capable of fulfilling the communication needs on Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft. Other features of the system include fully selectable menus on handset LCD (A380, A350 and B787), Area Call Panel (ACP) and attendant information panel (AIP) integration with audio chimes and video indicators, multi-channel simultaneous calls with priorities, zoned PA functionality, conference and emergency calls.
The system is fully customisable to match the end users fleet configuration and up to 32 handsets of any type may be attached. It can be configured as a hybrid system allowing integration into new or existing multi-type trainers, for example Airbus/Boeing or Airbus/Embraer cabins, and can be used stand-along as a desktop package in a classroom environment.
