The Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation (JAA TO) has announced that the Coordinating Committee of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), who met in Paris on 28 April 2016 for its 177th meeting, appointed Mr. Mário Németh (Director General of Civil Aviation and Water Transport, Slovakia) as new JAA TO Foundation Board Member.

Subsequent to the ECAC CC meeting, the JAA TO Foundation Board announced the appointment of the new JAA TO Director, Mrs. Paula Almeida, following the recruitment and selection procedures. Mrs. Almeida has over twelve years of experience in the aviation sector, specifically in the field of aviation training. She has occupied several positions since JAA TO's inception, as Training Manager, Business Development Manager and Deputy Director.

Mrs. Almeida commented: "One of my missions as JAA TO's Leader is to ensure an open collaborative culture and to equip the staff with all the support and inspiration they need to perform at their very best, in order to ensure that JAA TO continues to deliver the highest quality training courses and programs and to achieve more recognition. In turn, our plan is to grow as contributor to aviation safety, in line with ECAC's strategies, by continuously training and qualifying competent aviation professionals, as well as capacitating training organisations with our renowned advisory and support services."
