The Seminole County Sheriff's Office recently purchased an ELITE TH-1000 advanced aviation training device (AATD) from ELITE Simulation Solutions in Oviedo, Florida.

This single-seat AATD is FAA certified and replicates their current fleet of Airbus AStar Helicopters with a 3-screen enhanced visual system. The Seminole County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit will be utilizing ELITE's AATD for re-currency emergency training, Inadvertent Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IIMC) Emergency Procedures Training, and Flight Officer Pinch Hitter Training (in case of pilot incapacitation).
