A trainee pilot preparing for Airbus A350 qualification incorporated Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 into his study routine ahead of formal training. The timing coincided with the release of an A350 module developed by iniBuilds, allowing the pilot to familiarize himself with cockpit layout and aircraft systems before entering professional simulation environments.
The virtual platform enabled repeated practice of standard and emergency procedures, offering an opportunity to build technical awareness and procedural memory. Although the simulator is not certified for professional training, it provided a low-pressure environment for independent review.
The pilot acknowledged limitations in system accuracy and occasional software issues, noting that the program is not intended to replace regulated training. Despite this, the simulator served as a supplement to his learning process, particularly in reviewing manual flying skills and aircraft logic.
This case reflects a broader trend in which consumer-grade simulation tools are occasionally used alongside traditional aviation training resources.
