Flame-Aviation-V9000-Commander-e1497430476329

Amsterdam, Netherlands-based Flame Aviation has received an order for its V9000 Commander cabin fire + smoke trainer from the flag carrier of Lebanon, Middle East Airlines (MEA).

The V9000 Commander will be based at MEA's new training center at Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut. It is due to be delivered this summer, with the training center scheduled to open by the end of 2017.

As the flagship model in Flame Aviation's range of fire trainers, the V9000 Commander is equipped to train for many possible inflight fire scenarios, but has a special emphasis on fires caused by lithium-ion batteries in Personal Electronic Devices carried by passengers.

Flame Aviation says MEA will be the first airline in the region to take delivery of this new generation cabin fire + smoke trainers.
