India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted approval to Axis Simulation (Axis) for its ATR full flight simulator (FFS).

After functional testing and inspection, the DGCA found the simulator ‘outstanding’, and it is now in all-day use by FTSC.

At a dedication ceremony, FSTC’s Director, Sanjay Mandavia, stated, “Installation went well and support was excellent. We are very happy.”

This was Axis’ first simulator sale to an Asian country. Axis CEO, Niall Olver, said, “We are very pleased with the simulator’s reception in India. It is most gratifying to know that the design and build quality we put into our products is appreciated by users as well as approval authorities.”

The simulator features a Moog 14t motion system and RSI Raster XT4 visual system.
