Singapore Airlines orders V9000 Commander from Flame Aviation

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has ordered a V9000 Commander Cabin Fire + Smoke Trainer from Netherlands-based Flame Aviation, which will be installed at the carrier’s training center near Singapore Changi Airport.

The V9000 is the flag-ship model of the range and is equipped with an adjacent observation area to provide trainees an excellent view on the fire training proceedings in all weather conditions.

With an increasing number of Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs) carried, the risk for fires in-flight also grows. The V9000 Commander Cabin Fire + Smoke Trainer provides Singapore Airlines the ultimate tool for training surrounding lithium-ion battery fires and other common in-flight fire scenarios.
