Ansett Aviation Training (Ansett) has ordered an ATR 600 full flight simulator (FFS) from TRU Simulation + Training (TRU) for its new training centre in Brisbane.
The simulator will be certified to Level D by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). It is expected to be ready for training in September 2018 and will be the first ATR 600 FFS in Australia. TRU also recently qualified a convertible King Air 350i/B200 FFS for Ansett’s Brisbane training centre.
The company’s Airbus FFSs are in operation at Ansett training centres worldwide, with TRU also set to deliver an ATR 600 FFS to Ansett Taiwan. Elsewhere, a Canadair CL 415 FFS is soon to be delivered to Ansett Milan.
This new order marks a continuation in TRU’s growth in the Asia Pacific region.
