Republic Airways' Leadership In Flight Training (LIFT) Academy launch team will join executives from Diamond Aircraft at AirVenture 2018 to showcase LIFT - a new US-based aviation training school based in Indianapolis. AirVenture attendees will get to see the cutting-edge Diamond technology LIFT students will train on, as well as be the first to experience the LIFT Lab, a virtual reality mobile flight simulator that will be unveiled at AirVenture.
Just one month after launching, LIFT has received more than 400 applications, and the first class will begin in September 2018 with monthly enrollments following.
Last month LIFT took delivery of its first of 50 aircraft that it has on order with Diamond Aircraft. The 50 aircraft order represents the largest order for piston training aircraft by any US-based airline in history. Aircraft deliveries will continue through 2019.
