Southcoast-Simulation-training-center-open-in-Miami

Simon Potts, an independent consulting engineer and visual systems engineer specialist, recently opened Southcoast Simulation in Miami, Florida to help provide housing and maintenance services for flight simulators in that area. Potts, who founded Superflight Simulation Services Inc. in Canada, opened this training center that houses two Boeing 747-400 Level D Full Flight Simulators (FFS) and has six bays available for clients.

Training schools or airlines that have a 142 training structure can choose to rent the facility on a monthly basis, which includes use of the simulator that’s maintained by the facility, or they can rent time on the simulator for training.

Potts discovered the lack of available simulator housing while providing consulting services to training facilities in that area, and seized the opportunity to provide this business himself. “We observed market weaknesses and tried to address them in terms of pricing and customer service,” he says.

In the future, Potts would like to provide other aircraft types for passenger and cargo airlines including A320, B737 NG, B737 Max and B767.

Parties interested in placing a simulator at Southcoast Simulation or renting time at the facility should email  sflight@sympatico.ca.
