Dutch aviation group Avion have appointed Irina van Heeswijk as Director Sales and Marketing. She will start work on Oct. 1.
Van Heeswijk will be responsible for leading the commercial team, focused on developing new Avion Flight Training Centers. She will also take on the sales of Phantom full flight simulators as well as Avion’s PR and marketing activities.
Van Heeswijk joins the Dutch aviation group from FSC Aviation Training, where she served as Head of Sales. She has also held various sales roles at Air France, KLM and Swiss International Airlines among others.
"We are delighted to have Irina join our leadership team," said Avion Group CEO Erik Varwijk.
"It’s an exciting time at Avion, with the establishment of our second Flight Training Center in London soon, the nearing roll out of Airbus NEO options and 2.0 UPRT flight training standard."
Van Heeswijk succeeds Michel van Ierland, who will focus fully on his role as CCO and Managing Partner Netherlands of Unified International Aerospace, an aviation consultancy company.
