Laerdal to acquire B-Line Medical

Laerdal Medical and B-Line Medical announced LaerdalMedical’s acquisition of B-Line Medical. Building on an initial partnershipsigned in the fall of 2018, this acquisition will accelerate and expand theintegration and scope of their product lines.

With the acquisition, B-Line Medical will become part of theglobal Laerdal organization – while maintaining its home and continuing todevelop and support its product lines in Washington, D.C. Laerdal and B-LineMedical begin work immediately on their shared vision to create a debriefing,assessment, and training management platform. The platform will play a majorrole in Laerdal’s core mission of helping save lives by delivering high-qualityhealthcare training, education and quality improvement programs to theircustomers.

While this acquisition will yield the integrated simulator,services, and center management platform, Laerdal Medical understands theimportance of serving mixed simulation environments where collaboration andintegration with other simulation vendors are required. Laerdal Medical’s LLEAPunification software and B-Line Medical SimCapture’s open simulator integrationwill continue to make this possible.
