Leonardo’s U.S. subsidiary, Leonardo DRS, won a $193 million contract to provide active protection systems for U.S. Army tanks. Leonardo DRS will deliver TROPHY active protection systems, countermeasures and maintenance kits to the Army for its new Abrams tanks. TROPHY proactively detects, locates and neutralizes anti-armor threats by increasing platform survivability, and creates a new paradigm of networked threat awareness for maneuver forces.

Developed by technology partner Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, TROPHY offers combat-proven protection against a full range of threats and a high level of performance, safety and life-cycle affordability.
