Ryanair have launched a training partnership with Aviomar Flight Academy to deliver a Ryanair mentored programme in Rome.

The programme began in October and gives trainee pilots a path to join the Ryanair Boeing 737 Type Rating programme.

Aviomar Flight Academy instructors will train pilots on the programme using Ryanair procedures. Aviomar expect to recruit and train up to 400 new pilots from across Europe over the next four-to-five years. Newly trained pilots who begin their ab-initio training now will start their Ryanair careers from early 2022.

Aviomar General Manager Michele Marano was proud to be Ryanair's first Italian training partner for integrated and modular students.

"This is a unique and outstanding opportunity for our graduates to become commercial airline pilots for the fastest growing airline in Europe."

Ryanair’s Head of Crew Training, Senan O’Shea, said the partnership would provide the airline with a steady pipeline of talent.

"We have chosen Aviomar Flight Academy as our Italy-based pilot training partner due to their continuous high standards in initial flight training and APS MCC."
