"The Navy conducts this exercise each year to ensure we are ready to respond at all times," said NSA Orlando Commanding Officer, Capt. Tim Hill. "Events such as the recent act of terror at Naval Air Station Pensacola show that the threat is real and that these exercises help us maintain preparedness. This year’s event will be a little more visible outside the base than in the past and will provide another excellent opportunity to integrate with our local first responders, particularly Orange County Sherriff’s Office, UCF Police Department, and Orange County Fire and Rescue."

The exercise is designed to enhance the readiness of Navy security forces and ensure seamless interoperability among the commands, other services and agency partners.
