Whether multi-crew first responder training or large-scale multi-national defense exercises, total mission effectiveness starts at planning and goes through debriefing the entire team, not just those in the room. Shared debriefing is how training becomes learning; how practice becomes a success. The old standard was the Distributed Debrief Control Architecture (DDCA), which struggles when the network isn’t perfect, and extra tools are required to make it work. Dr. Streit will be presenting his paper on PLEXSYS’ Distributed After Action Playback and Review (DAAPR), which is more network-fault-friendly, more elegant, and easier to use and implement.

The paper was submitted in response to the Simulation Interoperability Standard Organization (SISO) call for submissions focused on Modeling & Simulation (M&S), M&S standards, or a supporting concept or capability that impacts or enhances the development and use of M&S.
