Merlin-COVID

Due to coronavirus universities are understandably worried about students touching and using laboratory equipment. In order to alleviate this problem, Merlin Flight Simulation Group have designed a hands-free pilot/instructor station communications system upgrade, for their range of academic engineering flight simulators, eliminating the need for a headset and mic.

The first of these upgrades has been installed at the University of Swansea in the UK. Other universities in the UK and the USA have also now ordered the upgrade.
