The Russian Air Force has received a new Su-34 flight simulator that will be based at the Military Educational and Scientific Center (MESC) in Chelyabinsk.
Air Force cadets and young pilots have already commenced training on the new simulators which feature improved visuals and greater realism with a real interior of an Su-34 cockpit and instruments.
The Su-34 is a long-range strike aircraft with a range of up to 4,000 km and entered Russian service in March 2014.
It has a combat payload of eight tonnes, including a wide range of guided air-to-surface and long-range air-to-air missiles.
The Su-34 is a development of Su-27IB prototype (T-10V-1), which made its maiden flight in April 1990. Following completion of development, series production aircraft received the designation Su-34 and was designed as a successor to the Su-24M tactical bomber.
