The Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) is accepting applications for its 2021 scholarship fund until May 15th, which it awards to outstanding aviation students and to children of air traffic controllers (ATC).

This year’s scholarships include four categories: Gabriel A. Hartl Scholarship, Lawrence C. Fortier Memorial Scholarship, Full-Time Employee Student Scholarship, and the Full-Time Employee Student Scholarship.

The challenge now is keeping controllers current to ensure safe and continuous service. Read more in  Sustaining ATC … Remotely.

The Gabriel A. Hartl Scholarship is awarded to students enrolled half- to full-time in a two- to four-year ATC program at an institution approved and/or licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Students applying for the Lawrence C. Fortier Memorial Scholarship must be enrolled half- to full-time in a program leading to a bachelor's degree or higher in an aviation-related course of study.

The Full-Time Employee Student Scholarship is awarded to full-time employees enrolled in advanced study programs to improve their skills in ATC or an aviation discipline.

Lastly, students enrolling in the Full-Time Employee Student Scholarship must be U.S. citizens, children of ATC specialists enrolled half- to full-time in a program leading to a bachelor's degree or higher.
