Halldale, together with flight simulation specialists ProSim-AR, have launched a new Spanish language Working Group session for the 24th edition of the World Aviation Training Summit (WATS).

The WATS LATAM Working Group, conducted in Spanish and sponsored by FTD.aero, will focus on offering the region's airlines, regulators and ATO’s usable learnings that can be applied to their day-to-day training.

"We want to make WATS as accessible as possible," said Halldale Founder and CEO Andy Smith. "Working with our partners at ProSim-AR, it seemed obvious to start with the LATAM market and so we have setup this first Spanish language Working Group.

"Halldale is known for bringing the global simulation training community together but it is imperative we also help the regional markets, like LATAM, meet and work through the issues that are specific to them. Through stronger regional markets, we can all benefit globally."

The LATAM Working Group will take place on Tuesday May 3rd from 2.30pm, the opening day of WATS, the world's largest aviation training event which will be held at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.

With airline operations attempting to return to normal, the need for more, new and better trained pilots is the leading challenge for all airlines, not least those in the LATAM region.

The realities of post pandemic budgets mean airlines require the best trained, most resilient pilots at as low a training cost as possible. New developments in regulations offer opportunities to make more and better use of existing FTD’s.

The LATAM panel, who will be announced at a later date, will discuss the potential of FTD's and explore regulation and opportunity in the LATAM market as they seek to ensure "Better trained pilots at lower cost."

Carlos Moran, Head of Training at ProSim-AR, will facilitate the session, which will be by invitation only. Spaces are limited so register your interest in attending, please contact Andy.smith@halldale.com and  carlos.moran@prosim-ar.com
