JVCKENWOOD Corporation (JVC) will showcase its DLA-VS8000G native 8K projector at I/ITSEC, the world's largest modeling, simulation, and training conference, this week in Orlando, Florida. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the image quality and features of this projector at JVC’s booth, #1521.

JVC's DLA-VS8000G COTS (Commercial Off the Shelf) projector is equipped with three 3.5-micron pixel pitch proprietary JVC D-ILA imaging devices producing a native resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels and delivers a 5000 lumens using JVC's exclusive BLU-Escent laser-phosphor illumination system. The projector offers a contrast ratio of over 10,000:1, which JVC claims surpasses industry standards. The laser phosphor light engine provides longevity and consistent illumination, making it a reliable choice for various applications, including military and commercial flight simulation, visualization, and planetariums.

One notable application of the DLA-VS8000G projector is in Boeing's Constant Resolution Visual System (CRVS) simulator that provides pilots with a realistic "out-the-window" view at near eye-limiting resolution across the entire field of view. The added resolution enables pilots to see friend or foe detail at greater distances, creating an extremely positive training experience, says JVC.

JVC will also showcase its other D-ILA Visualization Series Projectors, along with a range of accessories that complement its projector lineup, such as the HMD-VS1DW head-mounted display. The head-mounted display allows users to view virtual images while operating actual equipment through Mixed Reality (MR), which combines the real and virtual worlds. Its high-resolution panel enables users to view images directly through a proprietary optical mirror system, providing a natural field of view without peripheral blur or chromatic aberration.

The DLA-VS8000G will commence mass-production and shipping early in 2024.
