Robert Moorman Honored for Lifetime Achievement

Longtime writer at Halldale Group, Robert Moorman, has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Aerospace Media Awards, recognizing his outstanding contribution to aerospace journalism.

The award was presented on 19 July at No. 8 Northumberland Avenue in London as part of the annual Aerospace Media Awards, which recognize journalists and publishers who have made significant contributions to aerospace journalism and publishing.

Moorman received the Lifetime Achievement Award – Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution to Aerospace Journalism, celebrating a career spanning more than four decades.

He began his aviation writing career in 1984 with Professional Pilot magazine and has since covered a broad range of civil and military aviation sectors, including commercial air transport, business aviation, maintenance, technology, and both fixed- and rotary-wing operations.

Throughout his career, Moorman has brought decades of industry knowledge and experience to his coverage of aviation training for CAT Magazine and MS&T Magazine, alongside features for other aviation publications.
