Airways Aviation Group has welcomed Jose Costa as its new Chief Technical Officer.

José Costa, holds a MSc in Aeronautical Engineering from the Portuguese Air Force Academy and his career encompasses key roles such as Fleet Manager for the Portuguese Air Force, Director of Airworthiness and Maintenance at CAE Inc, and the first EASA CAMO Post-holder for EMBRAER Executive Jets.

He has extensive international experience in Defense and leading Aerospace OEMs. His previous roles have consistently placed him in positions of technical management responsibility, where he has played a crucial lead role representing organizations and fostering connections with customers and suppliers worldwide. 

Costa will restructure and grow Airways Aviation’s maintenance and engineering capabilities throughout its network, enabling them to provide the safe, high-quality technical support to its training fleet and extend it to third party customers.
