Skyborne has signed a letter of intent with Bye Aerospace for a further 30 eFlyer all-electric training aircraft.

The commitment builds on Skyborne’s 2020 order of 10 eFlyers, with a total of 40 aircraft now set to join the academy’s US fleet in Vero Beach, Florida.

“By expanding our eFlyer order and investing in an electric future, we will reduce our impact on the environment and support our airline partners with their sustainability goals,” said Lee Woodward, CEO, Skyborne. “We’re proud that Skyborne students will soon begin their pilot training with net-zero flight.”

Producing zero CO2 emissions and with up to 80% lower flight operating costs compared to conventional trainers, the eFlyer is designed to offer an efficient and socially responsible alternative to fuel-based aircraft.
