PLEXSYS has collaborated with Boeing, Intrinsic, and Parry Labs to demonstrate the latest technologies and advances in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) at the 34th annual WEST Conference in San Diego, California, from 13-15 February 2024.

The annual WEST Conference, hosted by the U.S. Naval Institute and AFCEA International, invites attendees to experience a variety of leading-edge technologies, panels and keynote discussions from DoD and DHS officials, and networking opportunities that support the Sea Services' operations.

The three-day event caters to the 150,000 U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard professionals in the San Diego area. Guests can expect to connect with industry leaders and learn about cutting-edge technology. Senior military and government officials will engage in open dialogue with operators to gain valuable feedback.

Visitors of the event can experience APEX at Boeing Booth #1931. APEX is a full spectrum mission training environment, developed by Boeing in collaboration with Intrinsic and PLEXSYS, to support operators throughout the continuum of training. It is an affordable, deployable, high-fidelity integrated air warfare training system optimized for a deployable training environment. The APEX training system is currently undergoing proof of concept testing and evaluation at Afloat Training Group Pacific and aboard U.S. Navy ships deployed in support of Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet in the INDOPACOM area of responsibility.

APEX enables compact, persistent, deployable, integrated multi-platform team training directly at the point of need. It is a scalable software solution that leverages the entire PLEXSYS ecosystem of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training readiness solutions including PLEXSYS’ Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT) 7 high-fidelity environment generator, Sonomarc communications and audio distribution software, and its Video, Audio, and Data for After Action Review (VADAAR) 2 software.

Guests of the event can also visit Parry Labs and PLEXSYS at Booth #2850. The Global Expeditionary Miniature Mission Interface (GEMMI), developed by Parry Labs, has integrated PLEXSYS's Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT) 7. This integration will create a realistic joint operating environment for training purposes, specifically designed to support the unique needs of US Marines and US Navy personnel. GEMMI, which is already in use with the US Army's Gray Eagle units, acts as a compact Ground Control System supporting live flight operations. By leveraging ASCOT's advanced simulation capabilities, GEMMI enhances Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) Command and Control (C2) training for land, surface, air, and space operations. GEMMI paired with ASCOT 7 provides a particularly mobile capability for preparing Marines and Navy forces for operations involving the Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative.

Other featured technologies guests can expect to learn more about during the show include PLEXSYS’ Sonomarc and Video, Audio, and Data for After-Action Review (VADAAR) 2.
