Leading Edge Aviation hosted its 2024 graduation ceremony on 9 May, under the Concorde at Aerospace Bristol. This year's ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of 79 graduates, attended by more than 200 family members, friends, and representatives from the aviation industry and major airlines, including British Airways EuroFlyer, British Airways, Loganair, Titan Airways and Wizz Air.

Capt. John Meares, Director of Flight Operations at BA EuroFlyer, and the guest of honour at the event, remarked: “This is the third time I've had the pleasure of attending this fantastic event. It’s wonderful to celebrate what these talented graduates have achieved. We didn’t have events like this in my time, and it’s great for students and their families to be able to celebrate their success in this way. It was also fantastic to see so many Leading Edge graduates who have secured roles with BA EuroFlyer. We look forward to welcoming them to the team.”

“Today marks a significant milestone for our students, culminating years of hard work and dedication,”said Andy McFarlane, CEO of Leading Edge Aviation. “We are immensely proud of what they have achieved and are excited to see them soar in their careers.”

The ceremony featured the presentation of several prestigious awards to students who have demonstrated exceptional skills, leadership, and commitment to their training:

Best in Ground School: Nathan Brabham-Neil, recognised for his adaptability, professionalism, and impressive academic achievements.

Best in Flight School: Joshua Edwards, noted for his organised, prepared approach and deep understanding of aircraft systems.

Graduate of the Year: Nathan Stewart-Walker, who also delivered this year's student address, celebrated for his exceptional results and professionalism.

Exceptional Contribution to Academy Life and Recipient of the Sword of Honour: Moira McQuaid, acknowledged for her inspiring approach and readiness to take on challenges.
