EATS 2024

The European Airline Training Symposium

5th-7th November, 2024.

We are now accepting presentation abstracts for the 22nd European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) which will take place Wednesday 6th - Thursday 7th November, 2024 at the Estoril Congress Centre, Cascais, Portugal.

EATS brings together the wider training industry to promote safety and best practice in pilot, cabin crew and maintenance training.

The overall theme of EATS 2024 is:  Leading & Accelerating Training Improvement

Conference programmes are now being developed for these streams:

Airline Pilot Training, with a side stream for Ab Initio Training.

Cabin Crew Training

Maintenance Technician Training

Presentation proposals should address an aspect of aviation training and education in one or more of the following broad categories:

Airline and MRO stability and growth, including hiring, recurrent/retraining, and staffing shortages.

Training the next generation, including ATOs, MTOs, diversity funding, EBT/CBT/CBTA, MPL, and instructor standardisation.

Technology enablers, including FSTDs, AR/MR/VR/XR, Big Data/AI/Cloud/Metaverse.

Human factors and personnel readiness, including cognitive processes, mental health, biometrics/tracking sensors, situational awareness and UPRT.

Emergent aviation modes, including advanced air mobility (AAM/eVTOL/UAM).

Environmental sustainability, including electric aircraft and green ATO.

Business aviation training challenges and solutions.

Cabin crew training challenges and solutions, including unruly pax.

Maintenance Technician training challenges and solutions.

Regulatory challenges and developments.

OEMs and Industry Association roles.

To propose a presentation for any of the EATS conference streams, please  CLICK HERE to complete the online form and provide the following documents by Monday 1st July 2024.

  • 250-300 word abstract.
  • A recorded video, either of the speaker presenting the abstract or of a previous industry conference presentation.
  • A short biography of the speaker.
  • A photo of the speaker.

Presentations must fit into the EATS format, which is 20 minutes maximum, followed by a Q&A period.

We sincerely thank all those who propose presentations and will respond to all submissions.

EATS attracts 1000 attendees from over 50 countries – all focused on best training practices. With over 48 hours of intense networking and information exchange with key representatives from the region’s airline training community, EATS is Europe’s largest aviation training event, designed by and for aviation professionals.

EATS was first held in Stockholm in 2002, and in subsequent years has visited Frankfurt, Vienna, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Madrid, Warsaw and Istanbul.
