Trainee commercial pilots can now access a cost-effective route towards a career in aviation, following the launch of a new trade association, Wings Alliance. The not-for-profit association comprises a variety of flight schools from across Europe and the Middle East, that each meet strict quality standards and offer modular training for potential pilots. Trainees can choose which member school they use for different parts of their education, ensuring they receive quality and value throughout their learning. Typically, a Wings Alliance student will receive 25 per cent more training time than is industry standard, and save 30 per cent of the usual cost.

In addition, the flexibility of the Wings Alliance training programme means it can be fitted around another job, making a career in aviation an option for a much wider demographic. Successful graduates of the Wings Alliance programme will be recommended to partner airlines for employment opportunities, giving them a direct route to employment.
