CAE has announced the launch of the validation phase of its Next Generation Training System with launch customer AirAsia this fall. CAE began developing what it calls “its next breakthrough in pilot training” – the Next Generation Training System – earlier this year, and now will focus on the validation and refinement of the system’s new training capabilities for pilot critical skill performance.
CAE says this system is “supported by innovative data collection and analysis techniques” and “promises to improve training quality and efficiency through the integration of untapped data-driven insights into training.” According to Tony Fernandes, AirAsia’s Group Chief Executive Officer, “This Next Generation Training System is the stepping-stone to reaching a new level in pilot training efficiency.”
Nick Leontidis, CAE’s Group President, Civil Aviation Training Solutions, says “The training needs of our airline partners are driving our training philosophy and as such, we are building the Next Generation Training System to allow them to address the growing demand of professional pilots globally.
