Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has ordered a V9000 Commander Cabin Fire + Smoke Trainer from Netherlands-based Flame Aviation.

It will be installed at RAM’s new training facilities in Casablanca during March and used as part of Flame Aviation’s broader fire training curriculum, which includes presentations, instructional videos and questionnaires, all in both English and French.

The V9000 Commander is equipped with an observation area that allows people to follow the training through a glass wall. Additionally, it has a fully automatic fire extinguisher refilling station and a trainee performance monitoring system that provides feedback to the instructor about a trainee’s extinguishing performance.

The fire trainer can prepare students to deal with a rage of scenarios, including lithium-ion battery fires. The same model has also been delivered to carriers including Jet Airways.
