Ansett Aviation Asia has launched a new TRU Simulation + Training ATR-600 Level D full flight simulator in Taiwan. Fully qualified in June the simulator commenced training for its launch customer, Mandarin Airlines, a new operator of the ATR fleet under the China Airlines group.
The device will also cater to the growing training demand for ATR-600s in the Asia Pacific region and is the first to two ATR-600 simulators under the Ansett Aviation Group. Over the next few months, Ansett will launch ATR full wet training capability to offer full course type-ratings and recurrency programs.
