After the successful delivery of an Airbus A320 FTD to Purdue Polytechnic Institute in August, MPS has again partnered with the University to expand its pilot training for students with the addition of a new, high-level flight simulator to the School of Aviation and Transportation Technology (SATT). A Boeing 737 NexGen jet flight training device recently was installed in the Holleman-Niswonger Simulator Center at Purdue University Airport. This FAA level 5 device will be used in Purdue’s Enhanced Qualification Program, through which the amount of flight hours under FAA requirements can be substantially reduced due to the quality of instruction and training devices used.
