AAR CORP., a provider of aviation services, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Legacy Aviation Learning Center to expand the EAGLE Career Pathway program to Traverse City, Michigan.

Since 2018, AAR has partnered with schools through EAGLE to address demand for aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). The new agreement adds Legacy Aviation to AAR’s network, connecting more students with career opportunities at AAR’s Airframe MRO facilities.

Legacy Aviation’s A&P program follows new FAA Part 147 curriculum requirements, emphasizing competency-based learning instead of time-based training.

“Legacy Aviation is using the new regulation to its fullest potential by implementing different pedagogies of learning to train students more efficiently and effectively for the aviation industry,” says Ryan Goertzen, AAR’s Vice President of Maintenance Workforce Development.

Earlier this week, AAR also signed an MOU with US Aviation Academy in Denton, Texas, to extend similar pathways for students nationwide.
