Bristol Groundschool (BGS) has become the first modular recognised training partner of Jet2.com, creating a new opportunity for aspiring commercial pilots studying via the modular route.

Through the partnership, eligible Bristol Groundschool students who have sat their first four ATPL examinations can be 'tagged' by Jet2.com as part of the airline's Jet2NextGen future pilot talent programme. Students need to demonstrate strong performance overall, with first sitting results considered as part of the assessment.

The tagging initiative enables Jet2.com to identify trainees early in their training and maintain engagement with them throughout their journey towards becoming commercial pilots. Students who are tagged and continue to meet the airline's eligibility criteria will benefit from a pathway into Jet2.com, subject to completing required training, assessments and selection standards.

"Being tagged by Jet2.com gives our students the opportunity to be recognised early in their professional journey and provides a clear pathway towards a future airline career, provided they continue to meet the required standards," said Gill Fowkes, Commercial Director at Bristol Groundschool.
