AW169 Simulator Achieves EASA Level D Approval

Coptersafety’s TRU AW169 full flight simulator with Phase 8 avionics was qualified to Level D by the Finnish Civil Aviation Authority (Traficom) and the UK Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA). Level D qualification is assigned to full flight simulators that meet the standards of EASA and the UK CAA.

With growing use of the AW169, Coptersafety can now provide advanced training with the latest avionics. 

The simulator is equipped with Phase 8 avionics and can be configured to customer requirements, including mission types and weather scenarios. It offers features such as cockpit vibration, smoke generation, 3D clouds, night and NVIS/NVG visuals, and customizable environments based on geographic locations and landing sites.

Crews can book training at Coptersafety’s Training Center, located four minutes from Helsinki International Airport. The simulator is expected to receive FAA qualification later this year.
