CAE Simulator Brings A220 Training to Singapore

Flight Training Alliance (FTA), a joint venture between Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) and CAE, and the Airbus Authorized Training Provider for A220 training, is collaborating with Airbus to establish A220 training capability in Singapore. A new CAE 7000XR full-flight simulator will be deployed at the Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) in Singapore in 2027.

The deployment marks FTA's first A220 training expansion into Asia-Pacific, supporting the region's growing demand for pilot training. The simulator will provide A220 operators with training closer to where demand is emerging, supporting entry into service of their aircraft.

FTA will deploy the simulator, while AATC will manage operations and training delivery. The new capability will support operators across Asia-Pacific, helping ensure airlines receive training that meets Airbus and operational standards.

FTA has been supporting Airbus A220 operators through its training operations in Frankfurt, Zurich and Rome. That expertise will now extend to Asia-Pacific to help meet industry demand and support a skilled, qualified pilot workforce.
