one-G simulation has delivered and installed a one-G Swiss12 Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD), based on the Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop, at Air Bravo Corp’s facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The installation marks one-G’s entry into the Canadian market. Air Bravo has also ordered a second one-G device, custom-developed around the Cessna 408 SkyCourier.

Air Bravo operates Pilatus PC-12 aircraft in support of its commercial aviation operations in Ontario. The Swiss12 gives Air Bravo an on-site training platform matched to the aircraft its pilots fly, including installed avionics. It provides an environment for practicing aircraft procedures, systems management, and abnormal and emergency scenarios, subject to Air Bravo’s training requirements and applicable regulatory approvals, including those of Transport Canada.

The Swiss12 received its initial FAA Letter of Authorization (LOA) as an AATD in 2017. The Air Bravo device features dual aerodynamically driven force-feedback yokes, dual linked rudder pedals with toe brakes, an overhead panel, a Crew Alerting and Warning System (CAWS) panel, a projected curved-screen visual system, and one-G’s Instructor Operator Station (1G-IOS) for configuring location, weather and system failures.

“We’re proud to see the Swiss12 installed at Air Bravo and to extend one-G’s reach into Canada,” said Xylon Saltzman, founder and CEO of one-G simulation. “A PC-12 operator shouldn’t have to send pilots out of province for every recurrent event. Because we build the hardware and software ourselves, we could match this device to Air Bravo’s aircraft and put that training in their own hangar.”
