Intercontinental Aviation Academy (IAA) in Dubai has invested in the ALSIM AL40/42 simulator, a training device designed to replicate both the Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft.

The AL40/42 reproduces Diamond-specific cockpits and flight decks. Switching between DA40 and DA42 configurations is done by swapping the dashboard and middle console, a process that takes approximately 10 minutes. The conversion kit includes cockpit and central panels, Garmin avionics, power levers, fuel selection, and yaw trim panels.

The simulator supports PPL, CPL, and IR/ME training and is certified to EASA FNPT II, FAA AATD/FTD 5, and Transport Canada FTD Level 2 with IPC capability.
