MAB Academy, the training arm of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has opened a new simulator building at Sepang’s South Support Zone, replacing its 40-year-old Subang Training Centre.

The facility includes six full-flight simulator bays for aircraft types such as the A330neo, Boeing 737-800NG and ATR 72-500, alongside integrated safety and emergency training areas. These feature a Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer and Malaysia’s first water survival pool with wave simulation.

MAB Academy is also the first aviation training centre in the country to achieve Green Building Index certification. The centre is an Approved Training Organisation under the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and offers around 200 specialised programmes for airlines, aviation professionals and international students.

A Boeing 737-8 full-flight simulator is scheduled to be added by July 2026 to support regional training needs.
