Diamond Aircraft has delivered the first newly produced DA20i Katana since the aircraft’s relaunch, handing it over to Aviation Academy Austria (AAA) during a ceremony in Wiener Neustadt on 28 November. The aircraft is the first of two ordered by AAA, with the second expected in early 2026. The two-seat DA20i features a Rotax 912 iSc3 Sport engine and a Garmin G500TXi cockpit with touchscreen avionics.

Diamond Aircraft resumed European production of the DA20i earlier this year to meet increased interest from flight schools and private operators. The aircraft’s composite structure, avionics and powerplant support current training needs.
