HAVELSAN has broken ground on a new flight simulator production and integration facility in Ankara, Türkiye, aimed at increasing capacity for civil and military programs.

The 17,000-square-meter site will support the production of more than 30 simulators annually and allow up to 16 devices to be developed simultaneously at different stages. Combined with existing infrastructure, total capacity is expected to reach up to 40 simulators in development and operation at any given time.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, along with company leadership and government officials.

The facility will support development of new simulator technologies, including the STARVIEW-B collimated display system, designed to improve visual fidelity and pilot training environments.

Operations at the site are scheduled to begin in 2027. The project is expected to create several hundred engineering and technical roles in the Ankara region.

The company has delivered simulators across multiple platforms and is working toward completing a backlog that will bring total deliveries to more than 400 units for over 60 civil and military platforms.
