North Carolina Grant Funds New Training Facility

flyExclusive, Inc. has secured a $30 million grant from the State of North Carolina to expand its maintenance and repair operation and develop a new pilot training facility at the North Carolina Global TransPark in Kinston. The investment is expected to create more than one hundred new aviation jobs in Lenoir County.

The facility will allow the company to repatriate the bulk of its current flight training spend back to North Carolina, including more than $5 million per year in direct pilot training costs and more than 8,000 hotel room nights per year currently associated with out-of-state training. Simulators located at the facility are valued at approximately $12 million each.

The maintenance facilities will include paint, avionics, and refurbishment capabilities, allowing the company to complete more of its scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in North Carolina. The company's annual maintenance spend, which currently totals more than $75 million, is largely an out-of-state expense.

The North Carolina Global TransPark Authority will retain ownership of the facility, which flyExclusive will operate under a long-term lease. flyExclusive intends to break ground as soon as possible.
