ALSIM has installed an AL42 Diamond DA42 simulator at FTEJerez’s training base at London Oxford Airport, as the academy continues to expand into the United Kingdom. The simulator will support students throughout their CPL and Instrument Rating training.
The AL42 replicates the Diamond DA42-VI, built using aircraft parts and equipped with the Garmin G1000 NXI. It also features a VFR-VS image generator, a GFC 700 autopilot and a force-feedback system, and can be equipped with either analogue or glass (EFIS) backup instruments.
The AL42 is designed for PPL, CPL and IR/ME training in compliance with current UK CAA FNPT II regulatory standards.
The simulator features a new instructor cabin with improved visibility of both the cockpit and the visual system, the option to close the cabin, a wider desk and a two-seat observer bench.
Oscar Sordo, CEO at FTEJerez, says: “The installation of the AL42 simulator at our London Oxford Airport base is another important step in the continued development of our UK training operations. By enhancing our facilities in the UK, we are even better equipped and have more flexibility when it comes to supporting our UK airline partners and self-sponsored cadets training towards a UK CAA licence, providing them with high-quality training and greater access to the resources they need throughout their training journey.”
“We are proud to support FTEJerez as they continue expanding their training operations in the UK. Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to high-quality pilot training, and we are pleased that the AL42 will play a role in this new chapter of their development,” adds Leonardo Rodrigues, Sales Manager at ALSIM.
ALSIM will be exhibiting at the European Aviation Training Summit (EATS), 3–5 November at the Estoril Congress Centre in Cascais, Portugal, at Booth 516. Stop by to learn more.
