Symbiotics has launched a new suite of online psychometric assessments within its ADAPT system, specifically designed for both aspiring and experienced cabin crew. This new offering aims to support airlines in making more informed and effective hiring decisions and identifying targeted training needs, leading to greater retention and service quality.

Developed in collaboration with cabin crew recruitment and training professionals, the new assessments reflect the real-world demands of the role and the qualities that define exceptional crew members. By aligning with industry expectations and the ICAO competency framework standard, Symbiotics ensures that the assessments are both relevant and impactful.

The new ADAPT suite of cabin crew assessments measures candidates’ traits, abilities and knowledge to evaluate their core competencies, covering areas such as leadership and teamwork, workload management, situational awareness, motivation, safety attitudes and more. The assessments are designed to help airlines recruit the right candidates first time, improve crew retention and service quality, ensure fair and unbiased selection, identify individual strengths and development areas, and enhance crisis readiness and operational resilience.

Hannah Davies, Symbiotics Director of Strategy and Growth said: “Our goal has been simple – to collaborate with the industry to better understand the skills and qualities that contribute to outstanding cabin crew performance. This has enabled us to identify the critical factors for success in this role and create an assessment programme that is purpose-built to support airlines in recruiting and retaining the best cabin crew personnel. I’m delighted that we’re now able to provide a solution aligned to the ICAO competency framework and critical traits for the role to support airlines in driving real world excellence.”

Symbiotics is a Bronze Sponsor at this year's Asia Pacific Aviation Training Summit (APATS) in Singapore, taking place from 26-27 August. The company is exhibiting at booth 300, stop by to learn more about their training solutions.
